weight-inclusive therapy for disordered eating

in person in DC or virtually in MD, VA, or DC

Your whole life, you’ve been told you have to look a certain way to be
worthy and wanted.

It’s not about vanity - it’s about safety.

In moments of complete overwhelm, you’ve instinctively discovered that you can find relief from your feelings by restricting, purging, binging, or exercise.

You don’t know how you’d ever cope without those!

come home to your body

We want to see you come home to your body and yourself.

Can you even imagine that?

What would it be like to finally have permission to exist in your body exactly as it is?

What would it feel like to gather with loved ones around a meal and actually be fully present?

It may sound impossible, but we’ve seen it happen, and we believe that, with the right support, it can happen for you, too!

You’ve tried everything…

Except this.

This is a radical re-imagining of how free we can be in our bodies, and how deeply we can trust our bodies, no matter their shape, size, color, ability, gender, sexuality, or any other trait.

Your body is your home, your faithful companion, and every step of the way, through every one of your worst days, your body has done it’s 100% best for you every single minute.

are we the right fit for you?

We honor the ways you’ve survived and coped in the past. No judgment here.

We hold onto hope for healing, even when you can’t access any hope for yourself.

We draw from research-supported approaches like ACT, IFS, RCT, and EMDR.

We raise awareness of the social and cultural systems impacting you.

We recognize that everyone experiences traumas of some kind, and we want to support you in processing those experiences.

We have all the necessary letters after our names and qualifications - we’ve done all the work to educate and equip ourselves for this work!

We also come with years of experience working with disordered eating. You aren’t a guinea pig here.

In addition to the formal stuff, we also bring a wealth of lived experience, including eating disorder recovery!

Our founder, Heather Clark, is also a Certified Body Trust(R) Provider, which means she leads with an inclusive, liberation-oriented view, that is fiercely compassionate.
