so, you’ve been burned
by the church…

your sacred texts have been used against you like a weapon.

your vulnerabilities have been exploited.

the people you respected so much and thought so highly of have betrayed and disappointed you.

you’ve been manipulated and gaslit, making it hard to access and trust your own inner voice.

some religious teachings about gender and bodies have really undermined into your relationship with your own body.

you’re not sure what to believe, or who to trust.

maybe you’ve even lost your entire community of support in the midst of this spiritual trauma.

you crave…

  • a safe, nonjudgmental place to sort through your beliefs, where you can deconstruct, reconstruct, and everything in between.

  • help grappling and getting perspective, after so much confusion.

  • support removing the wedge that’s been shoved between you and your core self.

  • help dismantling the heavy shame that’s been put on your exhausted shoulders.

  • to find a way to be yourself fully, in all aspects of your being, including your spirituality, reclaiming your authentic self.

Church trauma is trauma, and we take it seriously.

We aren’t here to tell you what to believe. We’re here to help you explore and discover what you want to keep, what to adopt, and what to let go of in your spiritual life and practice.

are we the right fit for you?

There is no judgment here. Period.

We hold onto hope for healing, even when you can’t access any hope for yourself.

We draw from research-supported approaches like ACT, IFS, RCT, and EMDR.

We raise awareness of the social and cultural systems impacting you, both inside and outside of your religious background.

We have done the work to educate and equip ourselves for this important process, and we have all the letters after our name to prove it.

In addition to the necessary grad school and licensure preparation, we have also completed additional training in trauma treatment, and we continue to learn!

We also bring our own lived experience with church culture to the therapy space, so you don’t have to feel like you have to educate your therapist.
